Dr Chaos, released in 1987 in Japan as Dr Chaos: Hell’s Gate, was released in 1988 for the NES by FCI, yet no advertising for the game was made until two years after it was released in North America.
Your character, Michael Chaos, goes missing while participating in War Zone experimentation in his giant mansion. His brother is Dr Ginn Chaos, who is a mad physicist. The player starts out with only a knife, but can find other weapons such as handguns and grenades. There are also red vitamins and yellow vitamins that refills your health. The menu has four options which are open, go, get, and hit. A total of eleven Warp Zones exist throughout the game. The player must fight a boss when completing a one of the first ten levels. The monster has a laser piece and protects a very important equipment piece. Those valuable pieces include an Ultra Space Sensor, an Air helmet, Jump Boots, 4 Life bottles, 2 Blue Vitamins, and a Shield Suit. Once the player brings all the pieces together for the laser, you will challenge the last boss of the game, Canbarian.
