Lee Trevino’s Fighting Golf Nintendo NES Game Cartridge

Lee Trevino’s Fighting Golf was released for the NES in 1988 and SNK developed and published the game. The player has the choice of four golfers, with each golfer having their own disadvantages and advantages. Lee Trevino, the golfer on the box of the game, is one of the four playable characters. His name in the game is Super Mex, which is a nickname he actually has. The other characters included in the game are Big Jumbo, Miracle Chosuke, and Pretty Amy. Pretty Amy has easier control than the others but is limited on her range. Both Super Mex and Miracle Chosuke have average abilities. Big Jumbo will have the hardest control, but has the longest range. Though the word "Fighting" is in the title, there is no actual fighting in this game.

The gameplay is comparatively simple, but was up to standard with other video games during its time. It can be played alone or up to four players taking turns. The player will need to watch out or sand traps, rough ground, water hazards, and trees. The golf courses range from being pretty much straightforward to having complex arrangements of traps. The two golf courses available in the game are the United States course, which will consist of mainly super rough and bunkers, and Japan, which mainly consists of tight boundaries and water. The player will be greeted with a realistic photo when the game ends. The photo is a country club that is against a setting sun being surrounded with trees.
