Wrath of the Black Manta Nintendo NES Game Cartridge

Wrath of the Black Manta was released for the NES in 1990. AI developed the game and Taito published it. The game is a localization of Ninja Cop Saizou, which was created for the Famicom in Japan. The NES version has big changes to the level designs, soundtrack, and graphics.

During gameplay, the player will go through five different levels using ninjutsu abilities that are called ninja arts and throwing stars. The goal is trying to stop El Toro, an evil mastermind, and his gang that are behind kidnappings. One person that was kidnapped, named Taro, was a Black Manta student. The Manta will have many powers that are acquired after completing levels. The player is able to choose what power they want to use when they press the start button. The powers will help Black Manta destroy the enemies and the bosses faster. There will also be kidnapped children the player can save throughout every level that are hidden. It will play no role for finishing the game. It also will not give the player any special bonuses.

In the game’s last level, there will be a part that is seen through the perspective of first person. Near the end of the final stage, Black Manta will need to destroy a boss from a previous level before going head to head with the game’s boss, El Toro.
