Days of Thunder NES Game Cartridge
Days of Thunder was released for the NES in 1990. It was developed by Beam Software and published by Mindscape Group. The game is based loosely on the movie Days of Thunder that starred Tom Cruise. Elements from the film are utilized and the Paramount Pictures license was obtained for the music soundtrack, plot, and graphical elements. The player will use Cole Trickle against rivals on eight different tracks. All the races will be ob ovals with the lengths, gradients, and corner types being varied. That means one track’s racing line can have the player put into another track’s wall. The pit stop areas will need to be used time to time. When the player does this, they will control the five pit crew members. Lost time on the pit will have the player lose some positions during the race. Computer racers will never pit stop.
