NFL NES Game Cartridge

NFL was released for the NES in 1989. Atlus developed the game and LJN published it. This was the first NFL Football game since 1979 to be licensed by the NFL and the first on an 8-bit video game console. There was no license from the NFLPA so no real player names were used for the existing 28 teams at the time. The player can choose to play with four different options which include an Interconference game, NFC, AFC, or Super Bowl XXIII. There is also an option of choosing to control the whole team at the same time. The view is side scrolling for the gameplay and will zoom in on the receiving plays. Team skill customization and penalties will be included during gameplay. The game will also allow the player to put a handicap on human opponents that are not as equally skilled.
