The Adventures of Dino RIki NES Game Cartridge
Adventures of Dino Riki, which is known as Shin Jinrui: The New Type in Japan, was released in 1989 for the NES in North America. It was developed and published by Hudson Soft. The game is a third person type shooter with the view being from overhead like 1943: The Battle of Midway. Your character, Dino Riki, jumps and shoots to kill enemies while trying to dodge them. The weapons available are rocks, boomerangs, axes, and torches. Powerups can be found which can give Riki more speed or wings for the ability of flying over hazards scattered across the ground. The weapon the player starts with is a rock that is limited in range and has low power. The weapon upgrades to an ax, then a boomerang, and the final upgrade being torches that will spread across the play screen. There are three types of worlds, which are land, mountains, and ruined city. The first three worlds have one stage with checkpoints. However, the fourth world has no checkpoints and is four stages long. There is a boss at the end of each of these stages.
